Hey, Fellow Dog Lovers,
(Am using the tool to email everyone, so you first 3 or 4 joiners have already seen this message, but let me get everyone caught up and properly welcomed ... thanks for hanging in there with the holidays and a bout of flu for me to get this rolling...am setting up event so watch for that note next...)
I'm so glad you joined the group. I've found a couple of meetup groups, and I've really enjoyed meeting new people, but I just didn't see a group that was just about all the fun you can have with dogs and, moreover, dog lovers. What better group of people could there be to get to know than dog lovers?
What kinds of events and activities are you hoping for? I'm thinking of a mix of events where fur and slobbering tongues are invited and welcome and some where we humans can get together to share stories. I'll be looking for locations where we can all get together and play ... like some of the local walking trails, off-leash parks, etc. But am also hoping to find some creative locations too - especially during these wintery days where an outdoor event might not be so appealing.
This is my first meetup group as an organizer, so I'm clinking around in the setup tools, so if you'll hang with me, I'll get an event set up soon. Am figuring that an early January event would be a great post-holiday energy boost (for us humans - you know our four-legged friends will be ready at a moment's notice to go for an r-i-d-e !
