The old saying goes, if your dog is over-weight, you are not getting enough exercise. We are excited to meet with other local active, and not so active, dog owners who are interested in running (or walking) with their dog for general fitness or to lose a couple extra pounds (both you and your dog). Runners and walkers are welcome. The goal of the group is too share dog friendly races in the area and to provide a forum so that dog owners can meet and train together.

This group focuses on Westies and Westie owners socialization.  All other well-behaved Westie family dogs are welcome, too.  We will try to move the meetups around to different dog parks in NoVa to better fit the locations of our members.

The 6 week courses cover basic cues such as sit, stay, heel, etc.  We will also cover problem behaviors such as nipping, barking, jumping, lunging, and digging. The plan is to set up meetups for some of our favorite things to do with our dogs: off-leash hiking, walking, group playdates, training field trips, on-leash socialization walks etc. We'll try out new things when we find them...we're open to all suggestions!
